Roncopathy is a respiratory disorder caused by pathological snoring, with partial occlusion of the upper respiratory tract and consequent vibration of the soft palate that generates nocturnal noise. Roncopathy is the first warning sign of total occlusions, such as apneas. In many cases, snoring is the result of a forced unblocking or opening of the upper airways. The sudden flow passage causes the soft tissue of the pharynx to vibrate.
